Susan Boyle- Britain's Got Talent 2009 Finals

Susan Boyle did not make it as this years Britain's Got Talent 2009. Boyle was runner-up, but so overwhelming were the betting odds in her favor that the result was seen as a major surprise.

The 48-year-old unemployed church volunteer from Scotland, who once joked she had never been kissed and has been described by newspapers as "frumpy" and a "hairy angel," was the antithesis of what many considered a celebrity to be.

Yet her rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" from "Les Miserables" in April was downloaded on the Internet more than 150 million times and made her a household name.
Boyle sang I Dreamed a Dream again on Saturday, and while her rousing performance was warmly received, it was not enough.

Boyle, who praised Diversity after the public telephone vote was announced, said earlier in the show that the whole experience had been "well worth it.

Britain's Got Talent 2009 Winner

Britain’s Got Talent has a new winner. Dance Troupe Diversity Is Britain's Got Talent 2009 Winner. This year’s winner will receive a cash prize of £100,000 and will perform for the Queen at the Royal Variety Show. The 10 finalists consists of Susan Boyle, Aidan Davis, Diversity, Stavros Flatley, Flawless, Hollie Steel, Shaun Smith, Julian Smith, Shaheen Jafargholi and Two Grand gave all their best to win this competition but only one has outshine the rest. And now the moment you’re all been waitng for. Votes were casted and the results was announced.

Diversity is a 10 member Group from Essex, England who won 100,000 pounds ($160,000) as British Got Talent 2009 Champions and will also get the honor of performing at the Royal Variety Performance in front of the Queen. And quiet rightly Diversity members were completely clueless after winning and didn’t know what to say when given a mike to say something.

Susan Boyle had been the favorite to win for many weeks and her audition video made her a star overnight, after it was posted on YouTube. But she didn’t quite make it as she was the runner-up. In my eyes the best act won.
Diversity got even better in the semi-final and tonight they performed sensationally. All their routines have been very unique in each performance.

Former Olympic Snowbording Champion dies in a climbing fall

Former Olympic Snowboarding Champion Katrine Ruby dies in a climbing fall accident last friday at Mont Blacat at the age of 31. She's a former Olympic snowboarding champion who had been training to become a mountain guide.

Ruby was roped to other climbers when she and some members of the group fell into a deep crack in the glacier on the way down the mountain, Chamonix police official Laurent Sayssac said.

French Prime Minister Francois Fillon called Ruby an "exceptional sportswoman."

"Karine incarnated the emergence of snowboarding in France," Fillon said in a statement. "The people of France will hold on to the memory of her talent and her joie de vivre."

Ruby won a gold medal in the giant slalom at the 1998 Nagano Olympics and a silver in the parallel giant slalom at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games. She was a six-time world champion with 65 snowboard World Cup victories.

Watch Online Britain's Got Talent

Britain's Got Talent is a search for Britain's next best talent act featuring singers, dancers, comedians, variety acts, and other talents of all ages. Anyone who believed they have talent was encouraged to audition. It is a British television show on ITV and part of the Got Talent series. The winner of both series received £100,000 and are given the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance in front of members of the Royal Family, including the Queen. The third series began on 11 April 2009.

The show was originally planned to air in 2005 (before America's Got Talent) and be presented by Paul O'Grady. However, after O'Grady's defection to Channel 4 for The Paul O'Grady Show, O'Grady refused to appear in another ITV show, so the series was put on hold after just one rehearsal show.
The live finals are broadcast from Fountain Studios in Wembley, which is the same studio as Britain's Got Talent's sister show, The X Factor.

The application process took place throughout January and February 2009 with auditions being held in five of Britain's major cities: Manchester for three days where they saw a total of 120 auditionees; Glasgow for one day viewing a total of 40 auditionees; Birmingham for three days watching a further 120 auditionees; London for three days, seeing 128 acts; and Cardiff for one day, where they saw 40 auditionees.

The "First Round Call-Backs" took place in London on Saturday 7 February; where 40 acts were made aware that they would be competing in the live Semi-Finals in May.

The semi finals are first determined by public vote, followed by the judges. The act gathering most phone votes automatically progresses to the finals. The judges then determine which of the second and third placed acts will also progressing to the final. Susan Boyle gained the public vote on 24 May, with dance group Diversity being the judges' choice. On the 25th dance group Flawless won the most public votes, and singer Shaun Smith was selected by the judges. On the 26th, father-and-son dance-duo Stavros Flatley won the public vote and twelve-year-old singer Shaheen Jafargholi was chosen over dance group M.D. Showgroup, by the judges.

Britain’s Got Talent 2009 Susan Boyle

The newest singing sensation Susan Boyle, a contestant of Britain’s Got Talent 2009 stuns all judges including Simon Cowell and all the audience.
Boyle, a frumpy, 48-year-old spinster who has never been kissed, went from obscurity to international stardom with a soaring version of "I Dreamed A Dream" from musical Les Miserables in the show's auditions.

"I think the sky's the limit for Susan," Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan told top US chat show host Larry King last month.

"She wants to be a professional singer. The whole world is going crazy for her. I think at the very least she will achieve that aim."

After a shaky performance of "Memory" in the show's semi-finals, when she was occasionally out of tune and out of time, some fans on YouTube have questioned whether she can handle the weight of expectation.
She had auditioned for television talent shows and sung karaoke before "Britain's Got Talent" but Boyle never got a break and all but gave up on singing after the death of her mother, who she nursed to the end, two years ago.

Part of the reason for her success is the Internet. Her army of international fans would have struggled to hear of her without YouTube, where her "I Dreamed A Dream" clip is reportedly poised to become the most popular of all time
"Susan Boyle is the ugly duckling who didn't need to turn into a swan; she has fulfilled the dreams of millions... downtrodden by the cruelty of a culture that judges them on their appearance," commentator Melanie Reid wrote in Britain's Times newspaper last month.

Whether or not she triumphs, the future looks bright for Boyle. She is reportedly set to sign a record deal, cut an album of show tunes and could even land a role in an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical in London's West End.

Watch Online: Terminator Salvation

Terminator Salvation is an upcoming science fiction post-apocalyptic war film and fourth in the Terminator franchise. It’s interesting to note that during filming Terminator Salvation, Christian Bale broke his hand and Sam Worthington hurt his back. Special effects technician Mike Menardis almost lost his leg filming an explosion. The sequence required a manhole being blown into the air, which hit Menardis and partially severed his leg. McG noted it was testament to the gritty style of the film. “I say with respect, I didn’t want that Star Wars experience of everything’s a blue screen, tennis balls, and go for it. I had Stan Winston build all the machines. We built all the sets, the explosive power, the explosive power so you feel that wind and that percussion and that heat blowing your eyebrows off. And with that you get a couple bumps and bruises on the way, but you get it in an integrity and a realism that hopefully echoes Apocalypse Now. You couldn’t say, ‘Let’s just shoot Apocalypse Now in Burbank, I think it’s going to feel just as good.’”

Long-forgotten lottery ticket, Woman wins $10 million

A university student won $10 million (A$13 million) -- and helped solve a lottery mystery that has made headlines in Western Australia for 10 months.

"People had been wondering for months, who is this mystery winner? Do they know about this ticket?" said Jodi Eastman, spokeswoman for Lotterywest, the state lottery.

"We have a 12 month expiry on lottery tickets. And people thought it might end up expiring and go unclaimed."

"She said she thought, 'If I can win some money on these tickets, I can possibly help the family out," Eastman said.

The first couple of tickets yielded small amounts -- $16 total.

"She was pretty excited," Eastman said.

Then the woman had the clerk check the gift from her father.

At first glance, she thought she'd won $10,000 (A$13,000). No, the retail store clerk told her, it's $10 million (A$13 million).

"I checked the commas and decimal places and then I realized," the woman told Lotterywest.

"I always remember Mum telling me that if I won the Lotto, not to start jumping up and down in the shopping center," she added.

Had she waited two more months, she would have missed the fortune.

The woman told lottery officials she's not planning a spending binge.

"The people close to me will be looked after and I might give some to research or a charity of some kind," she told Lotterywest. "It's nice to have this much to fulfill my dreams and the dreams of the people around me."

The winning ticket cost $6.70 (A$8.70). The odds she beat: 1 in 45 million.

Barcelona wins over Manchester United at the score of 2-0.
Barcelona have become the first club to win the Spanish treble.

It seemed the world had stopped turning, that everyone had either flocked to Italy’s congested capital or were tuning in. The traffic was chaos, the mood good-humoured, the sun losing its venom. Royalty, blue-blooded and footballing, filled the smart seats from Prince William to Michel Platini, their gaze soon mesmerised by the action flowing from the top two teams from the top two leagues.

Deceptively, United had been the first to show, flying from the traps, eager to impose their game. Ronaldo adopted a shoot-on-sight policy, threatening a hat-trick in the first 10 minutes yet, like an experienced heavyweight, Barcelona absorbed the blows and struck back with their first attack.

Tyson's daughter dies after accident

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson's daughter died Tuesday, a day after she was injured in a treadmill accident at her home, police in Phoenix, Arizona, said.
Exodus Tyson was pronounced dead at 11:45 a.m. local time Tuesday, said Sgt. Andy Hill, a Phoenix police spokesman.

"The Tyson family would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks for all your prayers and support, and we ask that we be allowed our privacy at this difficult time," the family said in a statement.

The girl's 7-year-old brother found her on a treadmill in the Phoenix home Monday. She had been strangled by a cord connected to the machine, said Sgt. Andy Hill of the Phoenix Police Department.

"We believe the child was on the treadmill but it was not running at the time. She might have been playing like it was," Hill said.

Her brother called his mother to the room. She removed Exodus from the machine and called 911.

The girl's mother performed CPR on her, but she was unconscious and in need of life support by the time authorities arrived, Hill said.

Former world heavyweight champion Tyson on Monday traveled from Las Vegas, Nevada, to Phoenix where his daughter was on life support in critical condition, police said.
"All injuries are preventable. There are ways to babyproof your home," Stone said. "I think that largely it is a matter of taking care of the more straightforward things ... making sure there are no cords from the windows hanging and certainly keeping the child in view."

Watch Online: Denver Nuggets Vs Los Angeles Lakers Western finals

A game that featured four technical fouls and 84 free throws overall.

The Lakers’ only lead was 1-0 on Bryant’s free throw 14 seconds in as Denver led for the final 46:46.

The Nuggets, who haven’t lost back-to-back home games all season, were coming off their first loss in the Mile High City since March 9. They knew they blew a golden opportunity 48 hours earlier by trying for the dagger and misfiring on 22 of 27 3-pointers.

The Nuggets are the first team with three players grabbing 13-plus boards in a playoff game since Utah in 1994 against Denver, but that game went double-overtime. … Denver is closer than it’s ever been to the finals. In their only other trips to the conference championship, the Nuggets trailed 3-1 to both Seattle in 1978 and the Lakers in 1985.
A dominating effort on the boards and a great performance by the bench helped the Nuggets overcome a below-par effort from an ailing ‘Melo on Monday night, when they raced past the Los Angeles Lakers 120-101, evening the Western Conference finals at two games apiece.

They did it with their star hobbled by a sprained ankle and slowed by a stomach virus that had him hugging the commode before tip-off and getting IVs at halftime.

Watch Online: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

It is the sequel to 2007's Transformers, which was the first live action Transformers film.An upcoming science fiction/action film due for release on June 19, 2009 in the United Kingdom, and June 24, 2009 in the United States. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg return respectively as director and executive producer, while Shia LaBeouf reprises the role of Sam Witwicky, the human caught in the war between Autobots and Decepticons. The film introduces many more robots and the scope has been expanded to numerous countries, the most important of which is Egypt.

The main hurdle in getting the film produced was overcoming the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike, as well as possible strikes by the Directors Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild. Bay finished his production on time with the help of previsualization and a scriptment by his writers Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and series newcomer Ehren Kruger. Shooting from May to November 2008 predominantly took place in the United States, including the majority of scenes set in outside countries, a minimum of which was conducted in those actual nations.

UFC: Ultimate Fighting Championship

The UFC began as a single-event tournament to find the world's best fighters irrespective of their style. Although there were a limited number of rules, promoters marketed fighting in the UFC as no holds barred, and contests were often violent and brutal.

As political pressure mounted, the UFC reformed itself, slowly embracing stricter rules, becoming sanctioned by state athletic commissions, and marketing itself as a legitimate sporting event. Dropping the no holds barred label and carrying the banner of mixed martial arts, the UFC has emerged from its political isolation to become more socially acceptable, regaining its position in pay-per-view television.

Weight divisions

The UFC currently uses five weight classes:

  • lightweight:145 to 155 lb (66 to 70 kg)
  • Welterweight: 156 to 170 lb (71 to 77 kg)
  • Middleweight: 171 to 185 lb (78 to 84 kg)
  • Light Heavyweight: 186 to 205 lb (84 to 93 kg)
  • Heavytweight: 206 to 265 lb (93 to 120 kg)

Match outcome

Matches usually end via:

* Submission: a fighter clearly taps on the mat or his opponent or verbally submits.
* Knockout: a fighter falls from a legal blow and is either unconscious or unable to immediately continue.
* Technical Knockout (TKO): If a fighter cannot continue, the fight is ended as a technical knockout. Technical knockouts can be classified into three categories:
o referee stoppage: (the referee determines a fighter cannot "intelligently defend" himself; if warnings to the fighter to improve his position or defense go unanswered—generally, two warnings are given, about 5 seconds apart)
o doctor stoppage (a ringside doctor due to injury or impending injury, as when blood flows into the eyes and blinds a fighter)
o corner stoppage (a fighter's own cornerman signals defeat for their own fighter)
* Judges' Decision: Depending on scoring, a match may end as:
o unanimous decision (all three judges score a win for fighter A)
o majority decision (two judges score a win for fighter A, one judge scores a draw)
o split decision (two judges score a win for fighter A, one judge scores a win for fighter B)
o unanimous draw (all three judges score a draw)
o majority draw (two judges score a draw, one judge scoring a win)
o split draw (one judge scores a win for fighter A, one judge scores a win for fighter B, and one judge scores a draw)

A fight can also end in a technical decision, disqualification, forfeit, technical draw, or no contest. The latter two outcomes have no winners.

Watch Online: 1 Litre of Tears (Diary of Tears)

A Japanese TV series based on the real-life struggles of a 15-year-old girl named Aya who suffered from an incurable disease, but lived life to the fullest until her death at 25. The script is based on the diary Aya kept writing until she could no longer hold a pen. The book that later followed entitled “One Litre of Tears" also called “A Diary of Tears” has sold over 1.1 million copies in Japan alone.

The story was adapted from the diary of Aya Kito, who suffered spinocerebellar ataxia, 1 Litre of Tears follows the life of Aya Ikeuchi, a Junior High School student who's still at her prime when she found out that she has a terminal illness that would cause her body to deteriorate soon. The doctor suggested her to keep a diary and write until the time came that she can no longer hold a pen. SCA is a progressive disease that gets worse with time. It's a disease that affects the brain and the spinal cord, thus, progressive difficulty in coordination. People inflicted with this sickness will find it hard to do all the things he/she can easily do before -- walking, talking, writing and even swallowing.

Fifteen year old Ikeuchi Aya was just a normal girl, soon to be high school student and daughter of a family who works at a shop that makes tofu. As time passed, unusual things started happening to Aya lately. She started falling down often and walks in a strange way. Her mother Shioka, takes Aya to see the doctor, and he informs Shioka that Aya has spinocerebellar degeneration - a terrible disease where the cerebellum of the brain gradually deteriorates to the point where the victim cannot walk, speak, write, or eat. A cruel disease, as it does not affect the mind in the least. How will Aya react when told about her disease? And how will Aya live from now on?

By the title of the series itself, one could easily tell that this is a heavy drama. Erika Sawajiri (Aya Ikeuchi) is so good in this film, not to mention she's really cute. You can really see in her eyes all the emotions that are needed to establish each scenes.Ryo Nishikido (Haruto Aso) did an excellent performance that I learned to love his character as the story progresses. The once cold hearted classmate of Aya ironically became one of the very special people in her life. I love Ryo's character here as compared with his character in the TV series "Last Friends".

1 Litre of Tears is based from a real life story but with the the inclusion of fictional situations and characters like Haruto. However, Haruto's existence in the series definitely played a vital role in the realization of the lead character's inner feelings.

Tyson's Daughter on Life Support

4-year-old daughter of Mike Tyson is on life support after she was found with her neck caught in a cord of a treadmill machine Monday, police said.

Exodus Tyson's 7-year-old brother found her on a treadmill with her neck in the cord that dangles from the console of the exercise machine at their Phoenix home, police Sgt. Andy Hill said, calling it a "tragic accident."

The boy told Exodus' mother, who was in another room. She took Exodus off the cord, called 911 and tried to revive her.

Responding officers and firefighters performed CPR on Exodus as they rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was in "extremely critical condition" and on life support, Hill said.

"Somehow she was playing on this treadmill, and there's a cord that hangs under the console — it's kind of a loop," Hill said. "Either she slipped or put her head in the loop, but it acted like a noose, and she was obviously unable to get herself off of it."

Hill said former heavyweight champion Tyson had been in Las Vegas but flew to Phoenix immediately after learning of the accident. Police didn't release the girl's name.

Tyson could not immediately be reached for comment but 42West, a New York City public relations firm representing him, released a statement on the family's behalf.

"The Tyson family would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks for all your prayers and support, and we ask that we be allowed our privacy at this difficult time," the statement said.

Brief footage from local TV station KTVK showed Tyson arriving at the hospital in a white button-up and black pants, and looking around with a frown before going inside.
Hill said everything in the investigation pointed to an accident. "There's nothing in the investigation that revealed anything suspicious," he said.

He added that responding to calls involving children is an officer's most difficult duty.

"Those are the things that stay with you in your career," he said. "We always hope for a miracle — not to have the worst happen to a child."

The Return of Mayweather vs Marquez

Mayweather has confirmed he will return to the ring against Marquez. The two will meet on July 18 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where tickets are scheduled to go on sale on Friday. They'll fight at a catch-weight of about 143 pounds (65 kilograms), eight (3 1/2) more than Marquez has ever fought and the lightest that Mayweather has been since 2005.

Mayweather'Pretty Boy' retired with an unbeaten 39-0 record after beating Ricky Hatton in 10 brutal rounds at the MGM Arena in December 2007, turning his back on the sport and handing in the mantle of 'best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet'.

However, at just 32 the five-weight world champion clearly feels there is plenty of fight left in him and even more money to be made at the box office.

"When I made my decision to retire last year, I felt like it was time for me to go as I had been boxing my whole life and felt like I had done all that I could do," he said.

"But after I had time to rest, enjoy life with my family and friends, I started to miss the competition and my fans. I am ready to return to boxing and give people another dose of the Mayweather experience."

Victory for Marquez could set him on course for a third fight with Pacquiao with the duo already having fought two thunderous contests - the first a draw with the second going to the Filipino by split decision.

"I retired from the sport, but it was as if I had never made an announcement," said Mayweather. "Fighters were constantly calling me out and fans would stop me all the time and ask me to make a return.

"It feels good to be back and trust me, I will deliver the same electrifying performances I always have throughout my career.

"I am not wasting any time with a tune-up fight. I'm going straight to the top. Marquez called me out immediately after his victory over Juan Diaz in February and now he gets his wish.

"What he is going to find out is that you should be very careful what you wish for."

In order for the fight to be made a weight limit of 143lb has been set - halfway between the welterweight and light-welterweight divisions.

With Hatton taking on Pacquiao in the early hours of Sunday morning, it will be no surprise if the winner gets a shot at Mayweather or Marquez later this year.

Orlando Magic wins game 3 over Cleveland Cavaliers

Sunday's Game 3, they unleashed Slap-a-Superman in an attempt to frustrate Howard and send him to the free-throw line where he's more mortal than elsewhere on the court.Dwight Howard had kept his emotions sealed for an unnerving 48 hours. Howard needed redemption for the Orlando Magic and for himself.

The answer eventually arrived when Howard was unleashed and he breathed a bit of life into the Magic’s own postseason desires with a 99-89 victory against the Cavaliers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals. With the win, the Magic again wrested into the driver’s seat in the best-of-seven series, taking a 2-1 edge.

After a subpar Game 2, of which he refused to watch the mind-boggling replays of James’s game-winning 3-pointer, and a short-stint first half Sunday, Howard responded with 10 points during a critical third-quarter run. Brow furrowed and jaw clenched, Howard’s post position grew deeper and deeper in the second half. On several possessions, he had Zydrunas Ilgauskas virtually pinned as a planted sequoia beneath the basket.

Howard ended with 24 points and 9 rebounds. He was not the dominating Howard, but his presence was felt, especially as Hedo Turkoglu misfired on his first eight field goals.

Soon after Turkoglu made his first field goal late in the fourth quarter, the Cavaliers’ Anderson Varejao fouled out, sending Howard to the line with 2 minutes and 43 seconds remaining in the game. Howard made 1 of 2 foul shots, finishing with a semi-respectable 14 of 19 from the line.

He was part of a Magic contingent that shot 51 free throws. The Cavaliers, by contrast, attempted 35 — 24 from James — a discrepancy that Cleveland Coach Mike Brown bemoaned.

“That’s a whole heck of a lot of free throws to get there 51 times in a 48-minute game,” Brown said.

Brown departed the postgame news conference and Orlando Coach Stan Van Gundy picked up where Brown left off.

“LeBron James isn’t in foul trouble — which he never is — and Mo Williams isn’t in foul trouble,” Van Gundy said, adding that the Cavaliers were looking to send Howard to the line as part of their game plan. “Those 19 free throws, they wanted them to happen. We didn’t want any of his 24 free throws to happen.”

He meant James, who found himself at the line a lot, but missed two crucial free throws and committed a costly turnover down the stretch on an errant pass to Ilgauskas down the stretch, before Mickael Pietrus secured the game when he went up for an offensive rebound on a missed 3-pointer attempt by Turkoglu with a little more than a minute left.

James followed up his last-second dramatic shot in Game 2 with 41 hard-earned points. He found a lid over the basket from the outside and the long limbs of the Magic’s interior defenders as he drove. James had 18 of his points at the comfort of the free-throw line, and made only 2 of his 11 shots outside the paint.

It was neither poetic nor pretty. But its outcome was satisfying for the Magic and those of its fans in the crowd of 17,461 that alternated between hysteria and delirium as silver and blue confetti dropped from the rafters.

The elasticity of Howard and the Magic may prove to be their most redeeming asset.

With James’s last second 3-point shot in Game 2 seemingly on an endless loop through the mind and still on the tips of tongues, the Magic offered new food for thought.

Orlando is a rubber band team and on Sunday it snapped back.

“We were able to overcome the dagger from the other night,” Van Gundy said, with a tone of sarcasm.

While Howard helped secure the lead, it was the reserve Pietrus who helped Orlando keep it, hitting a couple of clutch buckets and draping himself around James on defense.

Pietrus scored 16 points off the bench, one of five Magic who finished in double digits.

Kris Allen - 2009 American Idol Season 8 Winner

The 23-year-old who was considered the underdog finalist, is the surprise winner of “American Idol,” Hes smooth vocals and boy-next-door image propelled him to "American Idol" victory Wednesday, turning the theatrical powerhouse Adam Lambert into the most unlikely of also-rans.

He was asked by the “American Idol” judges at his first audition if he thought he was the best singer in the competition, he replied by saying “You know, there’s probably people out there who are better than me.”

That was true in Louisville, where he first performed for Simon Cowell and company. It was true in Hollywood, when he advanced to the semifinals. It was true in his semifinal heat, when both Adam Lambert and Allison Iraheta earned more praise and he tagged along as the third singer to earn the assigned spot among the 13 finalists.

But gradually, as the season progressed and Kris found his rhythm, the list of people better than he was grew smaller and smaller, and on Wednesday night he found out that according the “Idol” voters, nobody did it better.

“Are you serious?” Kris asked after hearing his name announced as the winner. “I’m sorry, I don’t even know what to feel right now. This is crazy!”

Allen beats Adam Lambert as Simplicity beat showmanship

Kris Allen have been the most shocked person on the stage, which would fit with his personality. But that belied the confidence that seemed to grow as he performed each week, to the point when anyone who thought Adam was a lock to win on Wednesday wasn’t paying attention.

The two finalists seemed to genuinely get along. Each pointed to the other on Tuesday when the phone numbers were being read, as if to suggest they’d vote for their rival. Even on Wednesday, Adam looked gracious in defeat and Kris was complimentary in victory.

But that clashes with how they looked all season when the lights came on and the music started. Their performances Wednesday night once again showed how different they are musically. Kris sang with country star Keith Urban, two men sitting on stools and playing their guitars. Adam performed with KISS, with all the associated makeup and pyrotechnic trimmings.

Though Adam again was more memorable, there’s a reason that Keith Urban is on the radio now and KISS is not. Kris may be more of a down-to-earth performer, but anyone listening to any Top 40 station knows that kind of music is enormously popular. Adam is more fun to watch, but couldn't wrangle enough votes to overcome that.

It is a story that revolves around the historical site of the Vatican with Langdon’s discovery of a secret brotherhood, the Illuminati, still existing with the daughter of a murdered physicist, Vittoria. This time, they thought they are just against some brotherhood with an assassin that works to protect their secret to death. Now, they will discover something unimaginable, something so powerful, a hidden secret will be revealed.

A tragic incident, the death of the Pope, had the clergy forced to choose among the 4 possible replacement candidates but the problem is, one by one, each of the 4 were killed mysteriously but clues lead to only one material evidence, something related to the Illuminati, the brotherhood, then never thought to be still existing since the time only a few knew.

2nd case of swine flu found in the Philippines

In the Philippines, a 50-year-old woman from Chicago tested positive for the virus over the weekend, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III told a news conference. She arrived from the United States Wednesday and went to a hospital the next day, complaining of a headache and mild fever.

It was not clear from Duque's comments whether the woman was a Filipino or a naturalized American.

The woman was treated with the antiviral drug Tamiflu and was rapidly recovering in a hospital, he said. Eleven relatives, whom she visited in the Philippines, have been advised to stay at home for 10 days to see if they develop flu symptoms.

All those she came in contact with during her flight to Manila were being traced, he said.

"We're stepping up our preparedness. We have been working around the clock," said Duque, who arrived Sunday from Geneva where he attended a World Health Organization meeting on ways to contain the spread of swine flu.

The World Health Organization says over 12,000 cases of swine flu and 86 deaths have been reported in 42 countries. More than half of those cases have been reported in the United States, while most of the deaths occurred in Mexico. The virus was first detected last month.

First Swine Flu Patient in the Philippines

A 10-year-old girl who flew in from the United States earlier this week has become the first Influenza A(H1N1) flu case in the Philippines.

The girl, whose nationality was not disclosed, arrived in the Philippines with her parents from the US and Canada on Monday but did not develop a fever until the following day, the health secretary said.

"The Department of Health is officially announcing this evening the first confirmed case of influenza A(H1N1) in the Philippines," Francisco Duque told reporters here by teleconference from the Geneva headquarters of the WHO.

More than 11,000 cases and 85 deaths have been recorded worldwide since the outbreak of A(H1N1) influenza emerged in Mexico and the United States a month ago.
